Pregnancy Links

General stuff

Babycentre.co.uk - brilliant, full of tons of information about every aspect of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as parenting. Very useful advice and also message boards to chat with other parents (to be!) about specific issues. Also funky polls! :)

Babynamer.com - Haven't been here for a while, but it used to be endless fun! They have the most enormous collection of names on their database, and helpful advice and origins for each name. The site is a bit pants if you have an AOL browser, but hey ho.

UKparents - This is another site like Babycentre, good and informative. The best thing is the forums which are very busy and active, and there are lots and lots of different ones. My favourite is the cloth nappy one, obviously! ;)

Morningwell - A-M-A-Z-I-N-G product, I don't really know what else to say about it really! It's a product that seems to be having a big effect on morning sickness, which I didn't believe until I went and read the NHS report and the research data at the site. It is an audio tape (no hypnosis, no subliminal stuff) that contains pulses to work with your neurological la-di-das and I don't really know what I'm talking about (!) so go and see for yourself! I am so relieved anyway, and I am buying one before I even GET pregnant just incase it's necessary! They aren't expensive (14.99 from National Childbirth Trust online shop - see under Maternity Wear links). I hope it works for me like it did for the women in the study.

Fertility Friend - Informative site that helps you chart your fertility and understand all the physical stuff involved.

Pregnancy Tests - A UK supplier (reputable) of CHEAP pregnancy tests and ovulation tests. They sell various brands including Clearblue, in multipacks at excellent value. I am gonna get mine there :)

Pregnancy Daily - A helpful informative site helping you to chart the progress of your pregnancy and find all the info relating to each stage.

Discount Baby Equipment - UK site for various brands of nursery furniture and travelly stuff (prams, carseats, etc) at less than retail prices. I like this site! :)

Discount Baby Store - Another UK retail site for lower than retail price nursery furniture and travel items. Free shipping in the UK!!!!!

Maternity Wear

Budget Bumps Maternity - this is a good site for affordable maternity wear (in the UK). It looks good, but I haven't had a chance to explore it much yet.

Maternity Exchange - Another clothing site. This is a good one for finding used but good value/condition maternity wear in pretty much any style and for any occasion you could want.

National Childbirth Trust Maternity Sales - Pretty self-explanatory link! They have lots of great stuff at varying prices, including books and videos, clothing, baby stuff, furniture for nurseries, nappy stuff, etc, etc. Lots.

Blooming Marvellous - A well-known UK maternity retailer. This is their online site. They have a LOT of choice but I haven't bought from them and I've heard mixed views on their service. Hmmm....

Tesco Maternity and Babywear - Tesco is GOOD value!! Their baby stuff is good too. Money savings here I come!

Diapers/Nappies

One Stop Diaper Shop!! - What an absolutely great great great great site!!!! I am soooo gonna "cloth diaper" my baby. This site has fantastic information on nappies (diapers), all the health and safety stuff about disposables and cloth, washing and sewing instructions, and all the bits you need for sale right at the site. It's just a pity it's a US site and that I'm here in England :( Oh well. The lady who runs it cloth diapers her baby son and she writes about it so clearly and informatively, and she is so funny too. Go and be converted.....

Diaper 101 - Another groovesome site about cloth diapering, and this one has a free pattern for a fitted diaper and helpful info and stuff.

The Nappy Mill - Ohhhh yeah baby!!!! At last I found a UK cloth nappy site!!!! Yayness! This place is fab, their stuff is great quality and they sell everything you need to make your own nappies. I have already ordered a load of stuff.

PooPockets! Diapers - New Conceptions, the creators of PooPockets! diapers. This site tells you all about these diapers and sells diapers, diaper covers, PooPockets! patterns and other things like that.

Honeyboy Diapers - Also known as HB-home diapers if you make them yourself. This site has information on making Honeyboy diapers, and you can buy patterns and things too. These are my favourite diapers so far, because they are fleecy all-in-ones, which makes for absolutely gorrrgeous dipes!

Cuddlebuns Diapers - This is BabyByYou, the creators of Cuddlebuns diapers. They sell patterns, dipes, covers, etc, and they also have a great "learn to sew" section and FAQ. You can get a license through this site to sell Cuddlebuns and Honeyboy diapers that you make at home. Fab site.

Twinkle - Miranda's UK nappy site. She sells EVERYTHING you'll want for nappy supplies, including zillions of brands of cloth nappies from all over the world and some WAHM stuff too. More than just nappies as well. The best thing about Twinkle is that there is soooo much detailed information on each nappy. I haven't found a more informative site yet, and it was so good that I printed off pages of info so I could refer to it easily :)

The Cloth Cabin - a UK WAHM (Work at Home Mum) site selling Cuddlebuns and accessories.

Cloth Nappies Info - a good site offering loads of advice and information on choosing and using cloth nappies.

Snazzypants - Another UK WAHM site run by Kerry - lots of nappies (various brands) for sale plus accessories, information and a friendly service :)

The Nappy Lady - Fab site by a lady who works as a nappy demonstrator and distributor in Scotland. Looooads of good information on cloth nappies, also a buy and sell forum.

Green Baby - Lovely shopping site for organic baby products and nappies, also clothing.

Tots Bots - Woohoo!!!! Tots Bots are GREAT!!! Scottish WAHM who makes the most ADORABLE fitted terry nappies. Check them out. I have five already and I plan to use them as my main system :)

Angel Luv - A US WAHM site selling homemade diapers and accessories. Free shipping!! And lovely dipes :)

More to come....
